Lian Bega is a second year DECA member. Lian is an outspoken, proud advocate of DECA, and is honored to serve as your Vice President of Fundraising.
Lian's DECA Story
Lian was introduced to the organization by her friends Asher and Kayla. Her enthusiasm for DECA has significantly deepened, especially after she campaigned for a State Office position. Despite not securing the role, Lian remains determined and will shift her focus towards contributing to her local chapter. She has been active in fundraising efforts, aiming to enrich the experiences of fellow members. In her first year, Lian achieved a commendable 4th place in the Principles of Hospitality category. This year, she explored new areas such as Hospitality and Tourism Professional Selling, and also participated in a Team Decision Making event alongside Riley Bello, securing 4th place. Lian's journey in DECA is marked by continuous learning and a commitment to enhancing her chapter's engagement and success.
